Question:

I forgot my FSU ID Card. What can I do at the library?

Our answer:

Current FSU students, staff, and faculty must have their FSUID card on them to enter Strozier or Dirac Libraries. Access to the building is controlled through swiping their FSUID Card through the turnstiles.

However, if you've forgotten or misplaced your FSU ID Card, you are still able to visit the library and use our resources!

Active students, staff, and faculty will need to get a temporary card from the Security Desk. This will allow you to access the building. Please note, you can only get 3 temporary cards per semester

You're still allowed to check out materials at the Scholar Support Desk in Strozier, Dirac, and Engineering Libraries! Just make sure you have a physical photo ID on you and know your FSUID (the unique alpha-numeric combination before the @ in your email).

Any officially issued ID that includes your photo and name will suffice for checking out library materials at the Scholar Support Desk, including:

  • Government issued - Driver's license, passport, military ID, international student ID, etc.
  • Club or company issued - employee badges, retail or gym membership, public or private school ID, etc.

Unfortunately, you are unable to print at FSU Libraries if you don't have your FSU ID Card. A physical card swipe is required to log in to the printing station.
