Question:
I’m a researcher at another academic institution. How can I request materials from FSU Special Collections and Archives (SCA) through Interlibrary Loan?
Our answer:
For items located in SCA, digitization is the preferred method for Resource Sharing requests.
Scans:
FDA can facilitate digitization requests with FSU SCA. When submitting the ILL request through your library, please include complete and accurate citation information to ensure efficient processing of your request.
All ILL digitization requests filled by FSU SCA should be for research use and will therefore be processed as a multi-page PDF at original size or lower with 300 pixels per inch. By placing a digitization request with FDA, you agree to these conditions.
If you require a higher resolution or different format, please place a duplication request directly with FSU SCA using the form linked here: Duplication Form.
Submitting Requests:
For ILL requests placed with FSU SCA, the borrowing library will include FDA in the lender string at least 4 times to allow additional processing time.
Please note that some of our materials are located out-of-state and will take longer to process due to the additional transit time.
