Question:

I received an incorrect article from an Open Access resource after requesting through ILL. How can I get access to the correct article?

Our answer:

The Resource Sharing team utilizes an automation that searches for, retrieves, and delivers articles available through Open Access. This means requests can be filled within minutes!

Sometimes this automation fills from Open Access resources that only have access to a different version than requested, such as a preprint copy. If your request is filled with the wrong article, please contact ILL Borrowing staff at the following email for additional processing: lib-borrowing@fsu.edu

By contacting Resource Sharing, we can work on getting you the correct material, bypassing the automation.

Scholars who attempt to resubmit their same requests may receive a cancellation notification if their request is flagged as a duplicate. Additionally, the request may continue to be filled from the same incorrect Open Access resource.
