Question:

Can I enter Strozier or Dirac Science Library if I am not an FSU student, faculty, or staff?

Our answer:

Any person - alumni, community member, family or friend etc. -  may visit FSU Libraries and use print materials, licensed databases, government documents, and the FSU Library Catalog on-site.

Visitors (including guests of current FSU students, staff, or faculty) are required to present an official state or university identification (e.g. driver’s license, university ID card, passport) to obtain a Guest Card before entering the Strozier and Dirac libraries.

If you are visiting with a child or children under the age of 18, the child must stay with an adult with a guest card.

Guest cards only provide access to enter and exit the buildings. They cannot be used to loan materials. Please note that guest cards are given out between 7:30am-8pm EST. All guests must leave by 10pm EST Sunday-Thursday.

If you are affiliated with another Florida school (FAMU, TCC, etc.)

Students, Staff, and/or Faculty at other Florida colleges and Universities may enter Strozier and Dirac Libraries during any hour they are open, but will still need to get a Guest Card at the Security Desk. With our Reciprocal Borrowing agreement with the State University System and Community College System, any person affiliated with another Florida school can check out books from our physical collection.

For more information on obtaining a guest card, please contact Security 850-491-5457.
