What information must be provided to register for Interlibrary Loan?

Our answer:

The first time you log into ILLiad you will be prompted to complete registration before you are able to place a request. You can access your ILLiad account with your University credentials using the link provided below.

After logging in with your FSU credentials, you will be asked to confirm your personal information on a screen that looks like this:

The First Name, Last Name, and Email fields are auto-populated and cannot be edited. You will have to fill out any mandatory field in order to fully register, and these fields are noted by the (required) text next to the field's title. These include:

  • "Daytime Phone" | "Primary Address Line 1" | "Primary Address City" | "Primary Address State"
  • "Primary Address Zip" | "Status" | "Department" | "Pickup Location"

Make sure your "Status" always matches your current Academic Statusand that your "Department" matches your current Academic Department. 

Additional Fields to Consider: If you are already registered for FSU’s Library Express Delivery Service (LEDS) you can set your “Pickup Location” to Library Express Delivery (LEDS). Otherwise, set it to the library from which you would like to pick up or view your requested materials.

After filling out all required fields you must click the “Submit Information” button, which is highlighted above. If you leave before finishing, your account will be incomplete and it will directly impact your ability to receive the materials you request.

Note: Your ILLiad profile does not update automatically, so you are responsible for ensuring that your personal profile in ILLiad is kept up to date. You can access your profile anytime by logging into ILLiad and and selecting "Update Profile" from the drop-down menu under "Profile."
