If a UBorrow request fails to locate a potential supplier, you will receive an email notification with an option to place a request in ILL using a pre-populated form. This link will be located in the body of the email, and will look like this:
ILL will make every attempt to locate and fulfill requests for our scholars. For an ILL request to be successful, the following conditions must be met:
The item must be owned by other libraries and
The owning library must be willing and permitted to loan the item
If your item is not available through ILL, you will be notified that the request could not be filled and given a reason for cancellation via email.
The cancellation email will include a link to the Subject Librarian and Research Specialist directory, where you can contact your Subject Librarian about alternative means to secure this item.
