Question:
Does the library stock textbooks?

Our answer:

We have some text books on reserve at the service desk in the libraries. You can find out if we have the book you need by searching by course number, instructor, or title here:

http://reserves.catalog.fcla.edu/fs.jsp

If we do not have the textbook you need, you can fill out this form and suggest it for purchase:

The following is from this page: https://www.lib.fsu.edu/form/which-textbooks-do-you-need

Course reserves are textbooks and other required titles that are placed on reserve for student use. Generally, these books are provided by FSU faculty for loan. They can be loaned out for 2 hours at a time. These items can be retrieved at the circulation desk in the Undergraduate Commons and at Dirac Science Library.

Purchasing textbooks for course reserves is a joint venture between Student Government Association and University Libraries. This partnership makes providing students with textbooks possible.

Disclaimer: Requests are only part of the evaluation criteria in selecting textbooks for purchase. Recommending a textbook does not guarantee that University Libraries will purchase that particular title.
